Rubringer, since 1899
Written by Břetislav Rubringer IV
At Rubringer, jewelry is more than a business, it’s a living heritage. Our story began in 1899, when my great-grandfather, Břetislav Rubringer I, opened a small goldsmith workshop in what is now the Czech Republic. From humble beginnings, he built a reputation for masterful craftsmanship, intricate detail, and uncompromising quality, principles that have guided every generation since. Today, after 126 years, that same passion continues to shape who we are and how we create.
For over a century, the Rubringer family has been devoted to perfecting the art of jewelry making. Each generation has contributed to refining our techniques, expanding our design language, and keeping alive the traditional skills of hand engraving, filigree, and lost-wax casting. What began as a modest workshop has evolved into a world-class studio that combines old-world artistry with the most advanced jewelry manufacturing technologies available today.
“After 126 years, that same passion continues to shape who we are and how we create.”

As the fourth generation to lead our family legacy, I am proud to continue this pursuit of excellence by embracing digital craftsmanship. The introduction of CAD/CAM design and 3D wax printing has transformed the way we bring ideas to life. Our Solidscape S3Duo wax 3D printer plays a central role in this evolution. With its unmatched precision and castable wax materials, it allows us to translate even the most delicate hand-drawn sketches into perfect physical models, ready for casting in gold, silver, or platinum.
What makes the Solidscape S3Duo so special for us is how naturally it integrates into our traditional wax casting process. For generations, Rubringer artisans sculpted wax models by hand, a meticulous art form requiring patience and skill. Today, the S3Duo continues that same legacy, but with the accuracy and repeatability of modern technology. Every piece still bears the human touch, but benefits from the digital precision that modern clients expect.
“With the S3Duo the results are a seamless blend of heritage and innovation.”

After 126 years, Rubringer remains committed to the values that have defined us since 1899. By merging our family’s goldsmithing heritage with the precision of Solidscape’s wax printing technology, we ensure that the Rubringer name continues to represent the pinnacle of Czech jewelry artistry past, present, and future.
